Original Problem Posted by: Ryan on 01/01/2003
1 yr old CompUCom PC with XP Home Edition: Problem is similar to other posted questions except that the computer will not do a complete boot. It gives the following messages:
searching for boot record from floppy: not found
searching for boot recordfrom cd rom: not found
searching for boot record from scsi: not foundA:

If I shut computer off and turn on again and press Setup(DEL) and go in and chose the bios setup and chose the Save and Load Safe the computer will continue to boot and Windows XP will appear. It will work if you shutdown with restart but if you shut down and don't turn on until next day, it will give me the same message as above.

Got any ideas on what I can do to make it find the hard drive, which it apparently is not finding?
