Original Problem Posted by: Bill on 08/06/1999
The way I check for crashes now is run Mech Warrior 3 or Sierra's Viper Racing game and see if it locks up. My new Pentium III system never crashes, but my AMD 333 , 96 MB RAM will crash almost ever time. I heard there is a program called PCPRO that will maxout your system to crash it and then give you some Idea what is causing the problem. I have tried reinstalling Win 98 after reformatting the hard drive and even swapped components such as the main board and RAM. The AMD 333 still crashes. I would like to find something more scientific to solve the problem. I would prefer to resolve this problem so I can get rid of the AMD with a clear conscious.

I would appreciate any input.
